The above picture shows the inspiration behind the characters in my upcoming book The Elven Dwarf.
These characters are to be found in Second Life and are played by myself and my collabrator Craig Petillo. We have played these characters for about 5 years now and after being asked for character summary for a role playing sim within Second Life, The Elven Dwarf was born.
I started out in Second Life playing an Elf, and when I met Craig, he was playing a dwarf. In a role play saga, he needed a dwarven wife, so he asked me if I was willing to play alongside him, so I altered my character into a dwarf, giving her a dwarven stature, but keeping her overall looks, which I liked to be honest. Then the questions started, why wasn't she stout? why did she have pointed ears? Why doesn't she look as if she is chisled in stone? They just kept coming. So I quickly penned a back story, how she was raised by elves after her kin were killed, and had undergone an elven healing ceremony, which had altered her appearance, thinking that would stop the questions. But Noooo... then people wanted to know, Who were her kin? Why did the elves treat her? How did she meet Hephtos? the questions kept coming. So The Elven Dwarf is the answer to many of these questions. Please enjoy the book when it is released later this year in 2015.
